About Dr. Justin Chan
Dr. Justin Chan completed his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Windsor in 1998. He graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2002 with Deans’ Honors standing. He was president of his graduating class and was awarded with the Canadian Association of Optometrists Award of Merit for outstanding contributions to the optometric community.
Along with his experience in full-scope optometric practice, Dr. Chan also has clinic privilages in a local ophthalmology center where he is involved in co-managing a variety of ocular conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration with Dr. Robin Deans.
Dr. Chan is also a clinic optometrist at a Lasik vision correction center and is very experienced in many aspects of laser refractive surgery. Dr. Chan had Lasik himself in 2003 and now has better than 20/20 vision. Dr. Chan has also trained at the Windsor Laser Eye Institute with Dr. Fouad Tayfour. Along with his Ontario license, Dr. Chan is a board certified optometrist in the state of Michigan.
Dr. Chan is actively involved in continuing education and attends several conferences each year in order to provide the highest standards of care to his patients. Dr. Chan is accepting new patients and would be happy to continue your eye care.
Dr. Chan is a family man and loves spending time with his wife and daughter. Dr. Chan loves to play ice hockey and will chat with you about the Toronto Maple Leafs any time you like.
